With 16 vacant storefronts, 12 businesses exiting the area, and a local government that was viewed as anti-business, Burlington, VT, looked very different  a couple of decades ago from today’s thriving community. What lessons did Burlington learn through the process of revitalizing their local economy? For starters, listen to what community members want and engage them by giving them a voice.
